Chipotle Chili in a Crock Pot

Ingredients:
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef browned and drained
  • 1 Pound Ground Sausage, browned and drained
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced green pepper
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans
  • 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans
  • 1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans drained
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tsp chipotle flavored Tabasco sauce (I couldn't find this kind, so I just used regular red tabasco sauce)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste (about 1 tsp)
Directions:
  1. place all ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low for 8 to 12 hours.
  2. if you don't have time to do 8 to12 hours, I did it on high for 4 to 6 hours and it turned out great.
